Lincoln Capri (1952) (second generation)

Automobiles

For 1956 the Capri shared a division wide restyling and gained a new 285 horsepower 368 cubic inch Lincoln Y Block V8 and a 12 volt electrical system. Its appearance borrowed from the concept cars Mercury XM 800 and Lincoln Futura in an era of fascination with the Space Race. A facelift for 1957 featured more pronounced fins. Its model years run from 1956 to 1957. The 1957 cars were the last before the huge unibody Lincolns of 1958.
