The second generation Compass debuted on September 27, 2016, in Brazil and at the Los Angeles International Auto Show in November 2016, replacing the Jeep Patriot and the first generation Compass. Using a stretched version of the same platform as the Renegade, it is available in four trim levels, the base Sport, the mid level Latitude, the higher end Limited and the off road focused Trailhawk. The Compass is assembled in Italy, Mexico, Brazil, China and India. Its model years run from 2017 to 2024.
