Honda Pilot (first generation)

Automobiles

Honda showed the first-generation Pilot, chassis YF1 and YF2, in December 2001 and put it on sale on June 3, 2002 as a 2003 model. Its design, by Honda's Ricky Hsu, was approved in 1999, and it seated eight passengers in three rows with stadium seating as standard. The 2003 and 2004 Pilots used the J35A4 3.5 liter V6 making 240 hp with the VTM-4 four wheel drive system standard, and the generation added Variable Cylinder Management in 2006 and the VP and SE trims in 2008. Each model year of this generation has its own page.
