In 2018 Honda introduced the Monkey 125, as the 2019 model year. It is in fact built on the Grom, but the early Z series gave it its name, styling and paint scheme, so the Monkey 125 revives the look of those older bikes. Honda had ended production of the Z50 in 2017, and several similar trail bikes continue to be produced as licensed replicas in China, some parts-compatible with original Hondas.
