The FV104 Samaritan is the armoured ambulance variant of the CVR(T) family of tracked armoured fighting vehicles that Alvis developed for the British military. It can carry up to six casualties and entered British Army service in 1976. Like the other members of the family it shares the light aluminium hull and tracked chassis of the Scorpion, adapted to carry stretchers and medical crew close behind fighting troops. Retired examples have passed to other armies, and former Philippine Army vehicles survive as a static display at Fort Bonifacio in Taguig and at the Philippine Military Academy at Fort Gregorio del Pilar in Baguio.
