The Argosy was a model line of cabover trucks that Freightliner built from the 1999 to the 2020 model years, the final Class 8 cabover marketed in North America. It replaced the FLB cabover, and it was developed from a 1998 Argosy Safety Concept Vehicle that shared the doors, windshield, headlamps and grille of the Century Class. A nearly flat interior floor and a shorter length let it tow a trailer up to 58 feet in the United States. After the 2006 model year, mass production moved to export, mainly South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, with assembly at Cleveland, North Carolina. It was also sold as a glider truck in North America until 2020.
