The FG X series, codenamed 201X, was the last ever production run of the Falcon, with production ending on the 7th of October 2016. In July 2014 Ford Australia released official photographs of the last iteration in XR guise, labelling the reintroduced XR8 as the best Falcon ever. Its redesigned front end adopted Ford's Kinetic 2.0 styling theme featuring the trapezoidal grille that debuted on the Ford Evos concept. Its model years run from 2014 to 2016.
