The second generation Durango, the HB, was first shown as the Dodge Durango R/T concept at the 2003 Detroit Auto Show and debuted shortly before the companion Dakota. Like the Dakota it has much in common with the large Dodge Ram pickup, including a fully boxed frame. It is 7 inches longer, 2 inches wider and 3 inches taller than the previous model and offered a third row bench with three seats, giving it an eight seat capacity. From 2007 to 2009 it was also sold as the Chrysler Aspen. Its model years run from 2004 to 2009.
