The sixth Charger, called the LX, brought the name back in 2006 after a twenty year gap as a four door rear drive sedan on the LX platform shared with the Chrysler 300 and the Magnum. It was sold as the base SE, the SXT, the R/T and the SRT8, with all wheel drive added to the SXT and R/T for 2007, and a police package alongside. Special editions such as the Daytona R/T and the Super Bee recalled the muscle cars. A mild update came for 2009. Its model years run from 2006 to 2010.
