After three years of production the Charger was updated for 2009. The CHARGER badge on the trunk lid moved from the left to the right to make room for DODGE on the left, and the tail lamps were revised. The special editions of the era included the Daytona R/T, which had debuted at the 2006 Chicago auto show with black Hemi decals on the hood and rear fender, and the SRT8 was the top trim of the Charger lineup.
