Datsun on-Do

Automobiles

The Datsun on-Do is a subcompact sedan that the Datsun brand of Nissan sold specifically for the Russian market, a rebadged and restyled version of the AutoVAZ-developed Lada Granta with its own VAZ index number, 2195. It launched in Russia on 4 April 2014, and AutoVAZ began serial manufacturing on 14 July 2014. The on-Do is 77 millimetres longer than the Granta and has a different front and back in the style of other Datsun models, while its wheelbase, height and width are unchanged. It uses a 1.6-liter straight-four engine of 87 horsepower with a five-speed manual transmission, and a four-speed Jatco automatic has been available since 2016. The word Do relates to a Japanese traditional notion that can be translated as move. Nissan discontinued the Datsun brand in 2020.
