The Daihatsu Move is a kei car and city car that the Japanese automaker Daihatsu made between 1995 and 2023 and reintroduced in 2025. It is Daihatsu's response to the similarly designed Suzuki Wagon R, which had appeared two years earlier in 1993. The first Move was designed by the Italian design house I.DE.A Institute. In May 1996 the turbocharged three-cylinder engine became available with a four-speed automatic transmission, and in late 1997 a Move Custom variant with larger headlamps and revised front styling was introduced and continued in later generations. The second generation was introduced in October 1998, with a Hello Kitty special edition aimed at women drivers in May 1999, and the third in October 2002, with a rounded derivative called the Move Latte.
