The Daihatsu Copen is a two-door convertible kei car built by the Japanese car company Daihatsu. It debuted at the 1999 Tokyo Motor Show as the Copen concept, and the second generation model debuted as the Kopen, Future Included, at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show. The Copen was never built with left-hand drive for its first four model years, 2002 to 2005. A right-hand-drive Copen with the smaller 660 cc engine was officially sold in Germany and some other European countries from 2003 to 2005, and a right-hand-drive 1.3 litre version added in 2007 was never sold in Japan. For Daihatsu's hundredth anniversary the company introduced the Copen Ultimate Edition II Memorial in September 2007.
