CMC Minicab

Trucks and Commercial Road Vehicles

The CMC Minicab, called Baili in Chinese, was the first commercial vehicle product of the Taiwanese automaker China Motor Corporation, entering production in 1978. It was a locally manufactured, rebadged third generation Mitsubishi Minicab, built under the technology cooperation that CMC signed with Mitsubishi Motors in 1970. A second generation arrived in 1985 as the CMC Minivan, a rebadged fourth generation Minicab, and the line was redesigned by Yulon and renamed the Varica in 1988. The Veryca of 2000 and the J Space of 2024 are its later successors, so the Minicab stands at the start of the small commercial vehicle family that CMC has built in Taiwan ever since. Taiwanese lineups list the original Minicab as a discontinued CMC model dated 1978 to 1985.
