The Sonic was the second generation of the Chevrolet Aveo as sold in the Americas, Japan, the Middle East and South Africa, a subcompact sedan and five door hatchback on the Gamma II platform developed by GM Korea and built in the United States at Orion Assembly, sold as the Holden Barina in Australia, and discontinued after the 2020 model year.
