The Corvair was a rear engined air cooled compact car that Chevrolet made over two generations from the 1960 through the 1969 model years, a response to the growing popularity of small fuel efficient cars, sold as sedan, coupe, convertible and wagon, and replaced by the Vega. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 2 generations: the first generation, 1960 to 1964 (1960 to 1964); the second generation, 1965 to 1969 (1965 to 1969).
