Photographs and details of an updated second generation CT6 were leaked in November 2022, with similar dimensions and the same wheelbase as the first generation. The second generation CT6 made its public debut on May 28, 2023, is exclusively sold in China, and went on sale at the end of the second quarter of 2023. Its model years run from 2023 on. The second generation is made in China by SAIC GM, a company owned half by General Motors.
