The Skylark was a Buick passenger car sold in several production runs across forty six years, named for the bird, first a luxury trim of the compact Special in 1961, then a mid size muscle era model, then a compact X body and N body car, and finally a front drive coupe and sedan from 1992 to 1998, its design changing greatly with each run. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 7 generations: the first generation, 1961 to 1963 (1961 to 1963); the second generation, 1964 to 1967 (1964 to 1967); the third generation, 1968 to 1972 (1968 to 1972); the fourth generation, 1975 to 1979 (1975 to 1979); the fifth generation, 1980 to 1985 (1980 to 1985); the sixth generation, 1985 to 1991 (1985 to 1991); the seventh generation, 1992 to 1998 (1992 to 1998).
