After a hiatus for the 1994 model year the Riviera returned for the 1995 model year with a complete redesign. The 205 horsepower naturally aspirated 3800 V6 was the standard engine, with an optional supercharged 3800 V6. The eighth generation was manufactured in Orion Township, Michigan, using the same Cadillac derived G platform as the four door Oldsmobile Aurora. Its model years run from 1995 to 1999.
