The eighth generation LeSabre was introduced in March 1999 using General Motors' G platform, which GM continued to call the H platform. The LeSabre was manufactured at the Detroit Hamtramck Assembly factory in Hamtramck, Michigan, and Lake Orion Assembly in Lake Orion, Michigan. Despite its slightly narrower exterior dimensions, it offered similar interior room and more trunk space. Its model years run from 2000 to 2005.
