The iX is BMW's electric flagship crossover, a battery electric mid size luxury SUV that was shown in concept form as the Vision iNext at the 2018 LA Auto Show and in production form in November 2020. It is the second fully electric BMW after the i3 and the fourth model of the BMW i sub-brand, and it is built at the Dingolfing plant on an electric architecture that is compatible with the CLAR platform.
