The G30 and G31 were the seventh generation 5 Series, announced in October 2016 and on sale from February 2017. They were larger and lighter than the F10, came as a saloon and Touring, with a long wheelbase version for China, and brought the 530e plug in hybrid and the 545e xDrive. A facelift followed in 2020 with unchanged mechanics. The G60 replaced the saloon in 2023 and the G61 the Touring in 2024. Its model years run from 2016 to 2024.
