2018 was the G30's first full year with Luxury Line and Sport Line equipment lines and the M Sport package, which had been available for order since March 2017, as the range of the 5 Series now covered saloon, Touring and the long wheelbase version. Production continued at Dingolfing, Shenyang and Graz and the 530e iPerformance plug in hybrid was part of the line up. The Escape launch film of October 2016 had introduced the car, which made its public debut in January 2017.
