Austin Princess (Princess IV)

Automobiles

The Princess IV replaced the Sheerline and the A135 in 1956 and was offered as a saloon coded DS7 and a touring limousine coded DM7. It used the Austin D series straight six with a redesigned cylinder head and twin SU carburettors giving 150 horsepower, with a General Motors Hydramatic automatic gearbox and power steering as standard. Priced at 6.5 times an Austin A30, it found almost no buyers. Its model years run from 1956 to 1959.
