The Aston Martin Bulldog was a one-off British concept car built by Aston Martin in 1979, with a sharply wedge-shaped body styled by William Towns under the project code DP K901. It was created to show off the capabilities of the company's new engineering facility at Newport Pagnell and to chase the title of fastest production car in the world, and it was officially launched on 27 March 1980. The car has gull-wing doors, five hidden centre-mounted headlamps and a 5.3 litre twin-turbocharged V8 rated at 600 bhp. A run of 15 to 25 cars was planned, but after Victor Gauntlett became chairman in 1981 the project was judged too costly and shelved, so only one was built; it was sold to a Middle Eastern collector in 1984. Restored from 2020 for an American collector, the Bulldog reached 205.4 mph at Campbeltown Airport in 2023 and won its class at the 2024 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
