Aston Martin

Vehicle and Equipment Manufacturers

Aston Martin is a British maker of sports and grand touring cars founded in 1913 by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford, taking its name from the Aston Hill hill climb. After David Brown bought the firm in 1947, the DB models followed, among them the DB5 of 1963 that appeared in the James Bond films. Aston Martin has changed ownership many times and has its headquarters at Gaydon. The firm has remained a small producer of expensive hand-finished sports cars, and its cars are closely associated with British motor racing and film.
