The Alvis Three Litre TA 21 was a luxury car made by Alvis between 1950 and 1953, announced at the Geneva Motor Show on 16 March 1950. It introduced the new 2,993 cc six-cylinder engine, with equal bore and stroke, seven main bearings and timing gears at the rear of the block, which powered Alvis cars until the company left passenger car production in 1967. Output began at 83 bhp. Independent front suspension used coil springs in place of transverse leaf springs, and the body came as a four-door Mulliners saloon or a Tickford drophead coupe, of which 302 were made. The wooden dashboard and leather trim were carried over from the TA 14.
