For the 2026 model year in the United States, the 330i and M340i models were produced in Munich, coinciding with production of the M340i xDrive 50 Jahre Edition, a special edition celebrating fifty years of the 3 Series. This is the latest model year of the G20 before the G50 successor is introduced in 2027. The G50 successor was expected to begin production in the first quarter of 2027. Alpina sixth generation B3 and D3 S, introduced in 2019 and 2020, were the high performance alternatives.
