Subaru of America announced in an internal email that 2025 would be the last model year for the Subaru Legacy. The 2025 model introduced the DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation, a camera based system that monitors driver attention and issues alerts for fatigue or distraction, and recognizes up to five individual drivers' preferences, such as seat position, climate and mirrors. The Legacy is a mid-size car built by the Japanese automaker Subaru from 1989 to 2025.
