A facelifted ASX was launched on 23 April 2024, only about a year after the original model, with the revised front end and the same Renault based mechanicals. The second generation ASX was a rebadged Renault Captur for the European market, sold with gasoline, mild hybrid, hybrid and plug in hybrid powertrain options. The ASX is short for Active Sports Crossover. The ASX was positioned below the Outlander in Mitsubishi's crossover SUV line up.
