In 2024 Car and Driver listed the CX-30 as one of seven subcompact SUVs on its Editors' Choice list, and the IIHS gave it the Top Safety Pick Plus award for the third year running. The CX-30 had been on sale for five years, built in Hiroshima, Salamanca, Rayong in Thailand and Nanjing, and it was still the model that sat between the CX-3 and the CX-5 in Mazda's crossover line up. The car is equipped with seven airbags, Isofix, ABS and electronic brake force distribution.
