The Chinese market Explorer received a facelift for the 2023 model year, unveiled in August 2022, with orders from 11 August and production from 7 November. The facelift, exclusive to China, revised the front and rear ends, fitted a 27 inch infotainment touchscreen in the dashboard and reconfigured the center console for twin wireless charging pads. In North America the 2023 Explorer was the sixth generation car with its ST and Timberline trims.
