In 2023 BMW announced that the 750e xDrive, eDrive50 and M70 would join the line up for the 2024 model year, and the single motor eDrive50 was introduced in May 2023 as the entry level i7 with 335 kW. The armoured G73 7 Protection was unveiled in August 2023, reviving the Protected 7 Series first built on the E38. A plug in hybrid CKD model was introduced in Thailand in 2023. The eDrive50 had an output of 449 horsepower.
