In September 2022 Mitsubishi Motors announced that they would once again be selling the Triton line in the Japanese domestic market beginning in 2023, after 12 years of absence. The fifth generation Triton of 2022 was in its eighth and last year. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles did not introduce the Fullback in the North American market due to the U.S. chicken tax. The Triton is a mid-size pickup truck, also known as the Mitsubishi L200, produced by Mitsubishi Motors.
