The Grand Lancer of 2022 was the sixth year of the tenth generation, built in Taiwan by China Motor Corporation with parts of the design from Pininfarina Shanghai. It was the only Lancer produced anywhere after Mitsubishi ended production in 2017, and it had the Mitsubishi corporate Dynamic Shield grille, a redesigned interior and body panels, and was the last of an ancestry that began with the A70 Lancer of 1973. Mitsubishi's main focus had moved to crossovers and SUVs.
