The second generation Venza was released for the 2021 model year, a rebadged Japanese market XU80 Harrier unveiled online on 18 May 2020 after the New York show was cancelled. It came only as an all wheel drive hybrid, improving fuel economy to 40 miles per gallon, and it was built in Japan. This was the first model year of the Toyota Venza (second generation, XU80), 2021 to 2024, which took over from the Toyota Venza (first generation, AV10); the 2022 model year follows it.
