The M3 and M3 Competition, based on the G20 and coded G80, were released in 2021 and delivered globally from that year. The earlier model range, the pre facelift G20 of 2019 to 2022, was sold in the Advantage, Sport Line, Luxury Line or M Sport trims. This was a year of steady sales as the car was established in its market. The 330e plug in hybrid and the mild hybrid diesels continued to be sold alongside it.
