For the 2020 model year the Silverado 1500 was launched in Australia for the first time, with Holden Special Vehicles, which General Motors Specialty Vehicles replaced from 2021, doing the conversion to right hand drive and Australian Design Rules. In 2019 General Motors released the medium duty Silverado 4500HD, 5500HD and 6500HD, which succeeded the Kodiak and TopKick and were sold only as Chevrolets.
