North American production ended with the third generation, with the 2019 model year, however the LaCrosse continued to be offered in China, with a 2019 facelift. The 2019 LaCrosse was a front drive sedan with a 2.5 liter engine, built at Detroit Hamtramck Assembly for North America and by Shanghai GM in China. The 2019 LaCrosse was the last in North America, a model that carried on in China for the next generation.
