The 2017 Impala saw only minor changes, with the LTZ trim renamed Premier and Pepperdust Metallic added as a new color. The LS trim, which had come only with the four cylinder engine, added a V6 option. The option packages were rebranded for 2016, such as LS Convenience to Protection Package and Advanced Safety to Driver Confidence Package, and the 2017 car continued with those names. The Premier trim, formerly the LTZ, became the top trim for the rest of the generation.
