The third generation Passo was unveiled in Japan on 12 April 2016 with the Boon, and the better equipped Boon CILQ was sold by Toyota as the Passo Moda, which replaced the Passo Plus Hana of the previous generation. This was the first model year of the Toyota Passo (third generation, M700), 2016 to 2023, which took over from the Toyota Passo (second generation, M600 and AC30); the 2017 model year follows it. Model year pages for the Toyota Passo run from 2004 to 2023.
