For 2016 Toyota released a Special Edition Camry limited to 12,000 units in the United States, and the facelifted Camry reached the Gulf states as a 2016 model in June 2015. The Camry again topped the list of the most American made cars. In Asia the 2015 facelift also brought a new 2.0 liter engine with variable valve timing. It was model year 5 of 6 in the Toyota Camry (seventh generation, XV50), 2012 to 2017, coming after the 2015 model year and before the 2017 model year.
