The Stella of 2016 was in its second year of the third generation, model code LA150 and LA160, a rebadged Daihatsu Move sold by Subaru in Japan as a five door kei car. Subaru, as it no longer manufactured kei cars, sold the Stella with the Daihatsu mechanicals under its own badge. The Stella is a five door kei car sold by Subaru starting in June 2006. The second through fourth generations of the Stella have been rebadged Daihatsu Moves, as Subaru has stopped manufacturing kei cars.
