For the 2015 and 2016 model years the only engine options of the E Series were the 5.4 litre V8 or the 6.8 litre V10 Modular engines. In 2016 it was sold only as a cutaway, a stripped chassis and a chassis cab, for upfitters who turned it into buses and specialist vehicles. The E Series was Ford's full size van, sold as the Econoline and Club Wagon and as a cutaway chassis. It was the best selling full size van in the United States from 1980 until the Transit replaced the vans in 2014.
