The 2016 Challenger received new Go Mango orange and Plum Crazy purple paint colors and the Blacktop appearance package. It was otherwise a carryover year for the car after its major update in 2015. It was the second model year after the 2015 facelift, with the 707 horsepower Hellcat as the top model, a supercharged Hemi that was also used in the Charger SRT Hellcat sedan and the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Trackhawk. The Challenger Hellcat could generate a lateral acceleration of 0.94 g.
