The second generation Fortuner was unveiled simultaneously on 16 July 2015 in Australia and Thailand, and the Fortuner was unveiled in Australia in July 2015 and went on sale in October 2015. It was launched in Argentina as the SW4 on 21 December 2015. This was the first model year of the Toyota Fortuner (second generation, AN150 and AN160), 2015 to 2026, which took over from the Toyota Fortuner (first generation, AN50 and AN60); the 2016 model year follows it.
