The Cherokee KL was introduced for model year 2014 at the 2013 New York auto show, where it debuted on 27 March 2013, and sales began in November 2013. An Altitude trim derived from the Latitude was introduced in spring 2014 with black alloy wheels and blacked out accents. Production began at Toledo in spring 2013 and the car reached dealers in mid fall 2013 after a transmission software fix. Production started in the spring of 2013.
