The Exiga of 2013 was in its sixth year, a mid size MPV that Subaru sold in Japan with a 2.0 liter engine, or a turbocharged 2.0GT. The Exiga name is a neologism combination of the words exciting and active, according to the Japanese Subaru press introduction materials. Its first row and second row seats sit slightly lower than the third row. The Exiga debuted as a concept car at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. The Exiga is not classified as a compact MPV because its exterior dimensions are not in compliance with Japanese government regulations.
