The 2013 MKX continued the refreshed first generation, a rebadged Ford Edge on the CD3 platform. It was the sixth model year of the generation, with the 305 horsepower 3.7 liter DOHC V6 and the MyLincoln Touch driver connect system. Lincoln marketed it as a mid size luxury crossover SUV, initially the smallest Lincoln SUV, marketed between the Lincoln Corsair and Lincoln Aviator nameplates later used. The first generation MKX was a rebadged variant of the Ford Edge on the CD3 platform.
