In 2013 the E84 X1 underwent a facelift with restyled exterior and interior design elements and the integration of BMW EfficientDynamics on all models. In winter 2013 an X1 Edition Powder Ride was introduced for the xDrive20i, 28i, 18d, 20d and 25d, and an X1 sDrive16d made for emergency services was unveiled at the RETTmobil convention. The updates followed the 2012 changes shown in New York and covered the entire range.
